DIY Desks For Your Home Office

The project, for all its elaborate details, is a project that’s relatively easy when you have a sense of what to do. For this great DIY tutorial for your own table, begin with a nice, sturdy wooden door. You’ll want it broad and smooth.

The table’s legs were two pieces of pine glued together to create the sawhorse style. Allow to legs to be hallow for your wires and cords and the like, a nice and discreet way to have your electrical devices firmly planted to your table. and it makes things less cluttered, too! Sand, prime, and paint. You’re all set!

4. How To Build  A Mini Laptop Desk

I think we can all agree on the fact that mini laptops are the bomb. Compact, portable, and super cute. This little hero deserves a desk of its own, and creating your mini laptop desk will only set you back by a couple of bucks. You’ll want to take the measurements you want for how big you want the wooden pieces to be. You’ll want to use pine that’s laminated for the top, pine legs, and a circular saw.

Once the pieces are cut, cut an alcove. Using a coin as your template,  as well as a jigsaw that has a scroll blade will help. Cut out the edges. Using a small miter saw, cut the legs (tops and bases) and  front risers, using a circular saw to cut the shelf’s front edge. Taking your screws and adhesive, assemble the desktop. Drilling pilot holes at the top, attach legs with wood screws on each side, and plugging  the screw holes securely, let the paint run!

Start off with using a 9 centimeter wide CLS, we’ll be using this for the desk’s frame and legs. Get your hands on a 6 centimeter, CLS as well, for visible support. You’ll need an 18 milimeter plywood to produce the desktop. Cutting it into 4 inch planks, put it on your desktop, placing small space between each of the planks. After screwing and gluing everything to keep it secure, paint it anyway you like!

8. Custom Desk

Cabinets are a great base for desks, and they’re great for storing your things, too! They add style and serve function. To make the most out of your purchase, go for cabinets in a nice cut and simple design, something that goes well with the material of the table. Wood is great material for both the desk and your cabinets. Add to add more character to your table top, painting it with foam brushes gives it a nice touch.

9. DIY Standing Desk

Upcycling should be a thing, because it’s green and efficient! Taking an existing table top lying around your home, pile another table top over it. Secure. Done.

10. Electronic Desk

We’ll be having some fun with a blow torch for this one.

After a nice sanding, move your blow torch at a horizontal angle over and have fun. Afterwards, apply a wet cloth over it and allow it to begin the staining process. Add glass and legs, and you’re done!
