DIY Agate Pendant – How To Make A Stone Necklace Without Drilling

Today i will be sharing my DIY Agate Pendant tutorial or How To Make A Stone Necklace Without Drilling ! Two weeks ago I visited Space Center Houston with a couple of the BurdaStyle girls while they were in town for Quilt Market. (Btw, they just published some pictures I took of the amazing craftsmanship of the quilters) At the end of the day we hit up the gift shop to buy some astronaut ice cream (not nearly as good as I remembered from childhood!) and I found a great selection of rocks. This agate slice was just $1.65.

Isn’t it pretty? I threaded it onto a piece of 2mm blue rubber cord and kept it simple by tying overhead knots on each side so the length is adjustable.

The trickiest part was figuring out how to attach the cord. I used E6000 to glue a small wire loop to the top of the back and covered the glue and wire with a tiny piece of clear plastic.

Total cost? Less than $5.
