Necessary Materials
First of all, you have to have a few materials on hand. Here are some of the materials that you will need.
- Twine
- Differently colored yarns
- A plain canvas
- A pair of scissors
- Pencils and rulers
- Needles
- A 12 inch long dowel
- A glue gun and glue sticks just in case
Procedure
The Triangle
Initially, you have to take the canvas and draw equilateral triangle. All sides should have the same measurement. In this case, 9.8 inches were drawn for each line. Try to connect the triangles via the midpoints. The triangle will then be folded from the inside to form another equilateral triangle.
Now, with a ruler, you will be able to measure at least 22 ft. of yarn to be sewn into the middle point of the inverted triangle. You can use different colors for the yarn. Do it just like the one in the picture.
Now, you can sew along the sides of the remaining triangle. You can use another color for the triangle sides. Using the needles, you have to make sure that you are able to keep the yarns straight.
After this, you can apply glue to the jute to secure this against the whole canvas itself. Make sure to follow the outline of the triangle to fasten the shape efficiently. Make sure not to leave open spaces in your work. Repeat this step for the other remaining triangles; however, you should leave a small amount of space for possible design opportunities.

The Tassels
For this particular part of the decoration you can use brighter colored yarns. In the picture, you can see a bright blue and pink set of yarns for the tassels.
To attach the tassles onto the triangle, be sure to poke into the chosen position and tie the knot slowly but surely. Be sure to put the knots at the back of the triangle so that it will look nice and neat upon presentation.
Lastly, you should cut a small piece of twine and use the glue to stick it down at the top of the triangle so that you can insert the dowel and hang the décor accordingly.
