DIY Bow Rain Boots Tutorial

As I’m usually used to make jewelry,
this time I went for something completely different: I made DIY Bow rainboots!
I made my rainboots I bought some months ago in Paris, a little more personal and gave them a little cute and romantic touch 😉

When I saw the beautiful Red Valentino Rainboots at the Pop-up store in Knokke this summer (see  my blogpost about it), I decided to make a look-a-like with my own boots!
What do you think about it?

You want to make them too? See here my “Do It Yourself Bow Rainboots” :o)
1) You need:
– rainboots (you can find cheap ones at the market, at Blokker or Casa, …)
– a pliers to make holes (normally to make holes in leather)
– ribbon
– nail polish
2) Make two holes at the back of every boot with the pliers. I used a simple pliers to make holes. There are also other pliers you can use, like a pliers with which you press some little iron rings in the hole. That way, you make the hole a little more solid.
3)Lace the ribbon through the two holes.
4) Make a bow 🙂
5) Cut the ribbon.
6) Put some transparent nail polish at the end of every piece of ribbon. This will prevent the ribbon to unravel.
7) Whoop whoop! You’ve got Bow Rainboots! Let it rain! 😉
