The first thing you need to do is to ensure that you will remove the labels from the plastic bottles. Next, you should rinse them thoroughly and leave them out to dry.
After this, you can clean them up a bit more by wiping the bottles with a clean cloth.
Use a small saw to take the plastic off the top :
The next step would be sorting out some of the stones within the concrete itself. You can use the sifter for that.
You can use the shims to support the bucket of concrete. However, this is optional depending on the size of your bucket.
You should be left with finer particles inside the bucket. You can either put the rocks inside a bag or sack or throw them in the garden for future use.
Then, you should spray the candles or a plumber tube with some cooking spray at both ends to prepare them.
After this, you should mix the concrete as per instructions. You may need to add more water depending on the situation. Do this in a small plastic container.
Pout concrete mix into the bottles. Remember to leave a little room at the top.
After this, you can wash out the other container and save it for another project.
Stick the tubes into the bottles and leave them out to dry overnight. You may notice the next day that the top part of the bottle has been dried out while the bottom part appears to still be wet. This is because the bottom part hasn’t been exposed to the air that much and therefore it is still somewhat wet. However, it is now usable.
Then, you can use a razor blade to peel the rest of the plastic off and pull the tubes out.
Again, let them dry overnight. It is your choice whether to sand it or not. You can also choose to paint over the bottles or leave it as it is.
Or decorate with a rope .Either way, it would still look good.
