Materials to be Used

You would need the following materials to upgrade your bedside table on your own, successfully.

  • Gold liquid paint/gold spray
  • Brush
  • Knobs
  • Sandpaper
  • Thumbtacks
  • L borders
  • Screwdriver
  • Marker
  • Hammer
  • Ruler

Procedure

Now that you know what materials to use, you can proceed to the learning the overall procedure.  First, you have to sand the surfaces to be painted on as well as the knobs.  L borders and other parts to be reattached.

Then, you can paint the knobs with the golden paint or spray.

After this, you can place the thumbtacks as well as the pins on the border of the bedside table itself.  Make sure that you place them with the proper distance from each other.  Usually, they have intervals of 2-3 centimeters each.

Do not forget to screw on the knobs and L borders as well.  After this, you can work on the legs.

You can either spray paint or remove the legs entirely and replace them with new ones.

After this, you’ll have your brand new bedside table sooner than you think.  Always remembered a little bit of creativity is all you need to successfully create or recreate a piece of furniture such as this one.  So you don’t have to be afraid about the results at all.  All you need to do is be creative and express yourself.

Additional Reminders

There are some optional materials that you can use for this particular project.  These are as follows:

  • Vinyl spatula
  • Golden colored vinyl (semi gloss)
  • Cutter

You’ll be able to use these optional materials if you end up using vinyl for the top.  If you do this, you can cover the top of the dresser or bedside table with vinyl with the use of the spatula and cutter.  If not, you can paint over it.  The decision is entirely up to you.

It is extremely important that you are able to read the instructions before undergoing any kind of DIY projects such as this one.  If not, you wouldn’t be able to do it successfully on your own.
